Bundle history keeps automatic backups of your bundles. Every time a bundle changes, Biscuits Bundles saves a version of how it was set up beforehand, so you can look back at what changed and restore any earlier version. It works quietly in the background, both for your own edits and for the automatic maintenance the app runs on your bundles.
Bundle history is available on all paid plans.

There are two ways to get to your history:
From Settings. Open the Biscuits Bundles app, go to Settings, and choose Bundle history ("Back up and restore versions"). This shows changes across all of your bundles.
From a single bundle. Open a bundle in the editor and choose Version history. This opens the same page filtered to just that bundle. Use View all bundles to switch back to the full list.

Each row in the list is one saved version, newest first. The columns are:
Date - when the version was saved.
Title - the bundle it belongs to.
Type - either Merchant (a change someone on your team made in the app) or Maintenance (an automatic change the app made).
Edited by - the staff member's name for merchant changes, or the name of the automatic process for maintenance changes.
You can switch between the All, Merchant, and Maintenance tabs, search by bundle title, and sort by date. The list opens on the Merchant tab by default, so your team's own edits are front and centre.
Merchant changes are the edits you and your team make and save in the bundle editor.
Maintenance changes are made automatically by the app. You may see:
Daily refresh - saved before the daily price refresh that keeps bundle pricing in step with your products.
Component removal - saved before a product that was deleted from your store is removed from a bundle.
Price update - saved before a component's price change is applied.
Settings update - saved before updated app settings are applied.
Title update - saved before a product title change is applied.
Store sync - saved before updates from a store sync are applied.
Every version is a snapshot of the bundle's setup at that point in time. It includes:
The bundle's steps, and the products and variants in each step.
The discount type and value, and any volume discount tiers.
Custom fields and custom field groups.
Layout and card style settings.
The bundle's product title and its status (Active, Draft, Archived or Unlisted).
Who made the change and what kind of change it was.
Bundle history only stores the bundle's configuration. It does not store customer information, orders, or analytics.
One thing worth knowing: each version is the setup as it was before that change was applied. That is what makes it a reliable point to go back to, even for the very first change recorded on a bundle.
Bundle history is designed to keep your recent versions handy without growing forever. For each bundle, a version is kept if any of the following is true:
It is one of the 2 most recent versions of that bundle.
It was saved in the last 7 days.
It is one of your last 5 team edits to that bundle.
The app keeps up to 25 versions per bundle. If a bundle has more than that, the oldest automatic versions are cleared out first, while your recent edits and the newest versions are always protected. Older versions are tidied up automatically over time.
The main Bundle history list shows your 250 most recent changes across all bundles. When there are more, you will see a note that says you are viewing your most recent history.
Click any row to open Review version. This page compares the saved version against your bundle as it is right now, under a What will change heading, so you can see exactly what would be different before you do anything.
The comparison shows a Current value and a This version value for each difference, such as the bundle price, discount type, steps, products, custom fields, title, and status. For automatic maintenance versions it also points out things like component prices that have changed since that version and components that have since been removed.
If a version is identical to your current bundle, there is nothing to restore and the page will tell you so.

When you are happy with what you see, choose Restore this version. Restoring loads that version into the bundle editor for a final check. Nothing is changed on your live bundle until you press Save.
A few things to keep in mind:
Prices are brought up to date. Component prices are recalculated to today's live values on the form before saving, so restoring an older version does not bring back old product prices.
Deleted products cannot be re-added. If a product or variant from that version no longer exists on your store, restoring cannot add it back. These are flagged with a warning in the comparison so there are no surprises.
Review, then save. Because the restore lands in the editor, you can adjust anything before saving, or leave without saving to cancel.
Bundle history is part of the app, so it is only available while Biscuits Bundles is installed and your store is on a paid plan. If you uninstall:
Saved versions cannot be opened or restored. There is no history page or restore option once the app is removed, and there is no separate copy of your history to fall back on.
Your history is not kept long term. In line with Shopify's data rules, your store's app data is erased a short time after uninstalling, which Shopify triggers about 48 hours after an app is removed. Your saved versions are cleared as part of that cleanup.
Bundle history is not a backup that survives uninstalling, so if you reinstall later, treat your history as starting fresh. Your bundles themselves are stored on your Shopify products and are handled separately from history. For what happens to your bundles and setup on uninstall, see [What happens when you uninstall Biscuits Bundles].
If there is a version you may want to keep, restore it before you uninstall.
Bundle history is available on all paid plans. If your store is on the free-to-install plan, subscribe to a paid plan to start backing up and restoring your bundles. For help choosing a plan, see [Managing your subscription].
History keeps your most recent versions rather than every version forever (see How long history is kept above). Older automatic versions are cleared out first, so a change from a while ago may no longer be listed. Your recent team edits and the newest versions of each bundle are always kept.
That is normal. Biscuits Bundles saves a backup before its own automatic updates, such as the daily price refresh or removing a product that was deleted from your store. These appear on the Maintenance tab and are there so you always have a version to return to.
If the product or variant no longer exists on your store, restoring an older version cannot recreate it. Re-add the product to your store, then add it to the bundle again.
