Using Compare at price
Updated over a week ago

Be sure to read the 'Important considerations' below before using this setting

What is the 'use Compare at price' setting?

Biscuits Bundles allows you to use a component product's Compare at price as the reference price when calculating bundle pricing.

With this setting enabled, your bundle pricing and discounts will remain consistent, even when the individual component items are on sale.

Biscuits will check that all Compare at prices are valid before applying them.

What is a valid Compare at Price?

The Compare at price is valid when it is higher than the Price.

This works similarly to the strikeout pricing feature available on most themes.

When the Compare at price is equal to, or lower than, the Price field, the Price will be used instead.

How do I turn the Use Compare At Price setting on?

To turn the setting on, navigate to the Settings page through the menu in the Biscuits app.

On the Settings page, you'll find the 'Use compare at price' setting under 'App settings'

Note - this is an app-wide setting and will apply to all of your bundles in Biscuits.

Important Considerations

Re-Sync Time

When you update this setting, all existing bundle products will need time to re-sync their prices. This process usually takes less than 10 minutes.

New vs. Existing Cart Items

Updated prices will only apply to new items added to carts. Items already in customers' carts will retain the old prices.

Switching from Use compare at price = on to Use compare at price = off

If you switch from using "Compare at price" to not using "Compare at price" - Some of your bundles that have component products with a 0 price may not meet validation criteria.

Be sure to double check your existing bundle settings are all valid when adjusting this setting.
